Richard Taylor and Nigel Sheppard met numerous country buyers at The London Office in St James’s Place on Thursday 22nd October. Such was the demand for information from eager buyers that Richard and Nigel did not pause for a break until after 5pm!
Bob Bickersteth and Samantha Garmany from The London Office were kept busy providing tea and coffee for our numerous guests and we are extremely grateful for their help in making this event such a success. Buyers who attended came from areas such as Cobham, Staines and Battersea. We provided a wide range of advice and guidance on numerous topics including, planning, listed buildings, flooding and schooling. Properties in demand ranged from £300,000 to £1,0000. All of the buyers that we met were familiar with Dorset, South Wiltshire and Somerset and are tempted by the more remote corners of our region. Good communications by road and rail and the proximity of local amenities were still a very important factor.
Many London buyers are holding onto to their London home for investment purposes or as a base for older children. The days of London buyers selling up and relocating completely seem to have gone. There is no doubt that our region remains extremely well sought after. All of the attendees expressed their sincere gratitude for being given the opportunity of discussing their requirements in detail with knowledgeable country agents. There were some property specific enquiries, and our glossy brochures were used to full effect.
We expect to generate viewings and sales from this Forum which was among the best attended that we have organised.
