April, 2018
On Tuesday 17th April, we successfully hosted the London & Country Property Show in the Pillar Hall of the world-famous Olympia London. Supported by Country Life Magazine, we welcomed buyers and investors from London and further afield through the doors. Over the years, we have found that, despite the Internet, there is no substitute for talking face to face with local experts who are able to impart advice on schools, villages, pubs and commuting times. With thirty leading Estate Agents, Chartered Surveyors, buying agents and LifeafterLondon.com (an internet based forum for anyone looking to move to the country) on hand, visitors were showed a broad spectrum of stunning properties; from rectories to Country Estates, farmhouses to ‘chocolate box’ cottages, ski chalets to villas from across the country, Central London and Europe, available for sale or to rent.
Visitors could enjoy delicious produce from our agents’ regions including, local cheeses, House of Dorchester chocolates and hand crafted brews. The country area, with it’s racing pigs and face painting, ensured an enjoyable day for all the family.
Bob Bickersteth, Director of The London Office comments, ”This was our twelth year and despite the state of the London property market, the attendance exemplified the continued interest in moving into or out of the Capital or investing in the country. This is symptomatic of the positive ways the group works together to promote clients properties to the widest possible audience. Both clients and buyers gain a real advantage from this initiative. We expect many who registered, will be viewing specific properties over the next few weeks.”
